1. Who operates Clinode
Clinode is currently an independent software project and technology studio operated by Joseph Nyameke Blay, Founder & Developer, resident in the United Arab Emirates. Clinode is not represented on this website as an incorporated legal entity.
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to founder@clinode.com.
2. Scope
This notice applies to clinode.com and the Clinode products VCode, OpenGit and OXSIG where Clinode determines how personal data is handled. Third-party services linked from or integrated with a product may also apply their own privacy terms.
3. Information we may process
- Account information: email address, account identifiers, profile information and authentication state when a product requires sign-in.
- Repository and project context: repository metadata, branches, files, paths, issues, pull-request information or other technical context when you connect or open a project.
- Lab and learning activity: lab state, mission progress, collaboration messages, execution evidence and related technical activity in OXSIG.
- Service and security data: IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, request logs, diagnostics, rate-limit data and security events generated while operating the services.
- AI inputs: prompts and the context required for an AI-assisted feature when you choose to use one. The exact context depends on the product and feature.
- Communications: information you send when you contact Clinode.
4. What the main Clinode website stores
Clinode.com currently stores your theme choice in local browser storage. The parent website does not currently use advertising cookies or sell personal information. Individual product applications may use necessary authentication/session cookies, diagnostics, analytics or other storage required for their features.
5. Why information is processed
- Provide the website, accounts and requested product functionality.
- Connect repositories, workspaces, lab environments and collaboration features that you choose to use.
- Generate AI-assisted explanations or guidance when you invoke those features.
- Secure the services, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures and maintain reliability.
- Understand and improve product operation using permitted diagnostics or analytics.
- Respond to support, privacy or legal requests and comply with applicable law.
6. Service providers and integrations
Depending on the product and feature used, Clinode may rely on providers such as Vercel for web hosting and delivery; GitHub for repository workflows; authentication providers such as Clerk; PostgreSQL/Neon for application data; AWS for OXSIG lab infrastructure; Ably for real-time features; Sentry for error monitoring; PostHog for product analytics; and AI or voice providers when an optional AI or voice feature is used.
The integration list describes product dependencies, not a verified inventory of every active deployment. Before sending sensitive context, review the product disclosure and contact Clinode if the destination is unclear. Provider configuration and retention may differ between features.
| Surface | Data and purpose | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Clinode.com | Vercel serves web requests. Theme preference is stored in your browser. | The site contains no live AI chat or account form. Product previews use bundled sample data. |
| Hosted VCode | Selected source is processed by the VCode server to build application analysis. | The hosted interface explicitly discloses server processing. Optional AI destinations depend on the configured feature. |
| OpenGit | Repository queries and metadata support GitHub discovery and contribution context. | Public discovery was checked. Authentication, database retention and optional AI settings require deployment-specific verification. |
| OXSIG | Account, mission, collaboration and execution context support protected work and labs. | The public catalog was checked. AWS, real-time, diagnostics and AI integrations must be assessed for the feature in use; a catalog entry does not confirm provisioned resources. |
7. International processing
Clinode is operated from the United Arab Emirates, but its infrastructure is not limited to the UAE. Vercel and other service providers may process or store data in the United States and other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Clinode therefore does not promise UAE-only data residency.
Where applicable, Clinode aims to handle cross-border processing consistently with applicable data-protection requirements, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.
8. VCode local processing
The hosted VCode app states that selected source is processed by its server. Choosing a browser folder or archive does not mean that analysis stays on your device. Separately configured local workflows have different processing boundaries. Optional connected or AI features may send context to other services; check the feature disclosure before submitting sensitive code.
9. Retention
Clinode retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant service, maintain security, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations or preserve data that you have asked the product to keep. Retention differs by product and provider. Provider backups or security logs may persist for a limited period after primary data is deleted.
A verified product-by-product retention schedule is not yet published. Contact founder@clinode.com with the product and account identifier to request deletion or ask what can be removed, including any backup or provider limitations. Do not send passwords, tokens or repository contents with a request.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or other information about the processing of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Send requests to founder@clinode.com. Clinode may need enough information to verify the request and locate the relevant account or data.
11. Adults only
Clinode services are currently intended only for people aged 18 or older. Clinode does not knowingly offer accounts to minors. If Clinode learns that a minor has created an account or provided personal data, the account may be disabled and the data deleted where appropriate.
12. Security
Clinode uses technical and operational safeguards appropriate to products that are still in active development, including authenticated access, server-side handling of sensitive credentials where designed, controlled infrastructure boundaries and provider security controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
13. No sale of personal data
Clinode does not sell personal data and does not use personal data for targeted advertising on clinode.com.
14. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated as the products, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain published here.
