1. Operator
Clinode is currently an independent software project and technology studio operated by Joseph Nyameke Blay, Founder & Developer, resident in the United Arab Emirates. Clinode is not represented on this website as an incorporated legal entity.
Questions about these terms can be sent to founder@clinode.com.
2. Services covered
These terms apply to clinode.com and the Clinode products VCode, OpenGit and OXSIG unless a product presents additional terms for a specific feature.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Clinode services. By using a service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these terms.
4. Development status and pricing
Clinode products are currently free and in active development. Features may be experimental, incomplete, changed, suspended or removed. Clinode does not currently promise continuous availability, a service-level agreement or permanent preservation of development data.
If paid plans are introduced later, pricing and any additional commercial terms will be presented before they apply.
5. Accounts
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping authentication credentials secure. Do not share access in a way that bypasses product controls or creates unauthorized use.
6. Authorized use
You may use Clinode only lawfully and with appropriate authorization. In particular:
- VCode: only analyze repositories, files or systems that you own or are authorized to access.
- OpenGit: respect GitHub's terms, repository licenses, maintainer rules and contribution policies.
- OXSIG: cybersecurity labs and operational techniques must be used only inside authorized environments or against systems you own or have explicit permission to test.
7. Prohibited use
You may not use Clinode to gain unauthorized access, damage systems, distribute malware, steal credentials or data, evade lawful controls, harass others, infringe intellectual-property rights, overload the services, bypass usage restrictions or conduct illegal activity.
Clinode may restrict or terminate access when necessary to protect users, infrastructure, third parties or the services.
8. Your content and connected data
You retain ownership of content and data you lawfully provide or connect. You grant Clinode only the limited permission needed to process that content to provide, secure and troubleshoot the feature you requested.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions required to submit, connect or process that content.
9. Clinode software and branding
Except for third-party or open-source materials, Clinode retains its rights in the products, website design, documentation, branding and other materials it creates. These terms do not transfer ownership of Clinode intellectual property to users.
10. Third-party services
Clinode relies on or links to third-party platforms and infrastructure such as GitHub, Vercel, authentication providers, cloud services, databases and optional AI providers. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms and policies. Clinode does not control third-party availability or policy changes.
11. AI-assisted features
AI-generated explanations, suggestions or guidance may be incomplete or incorrect. Treat AI output as assistance, not authoritative fact. Verify important technical, security, legal or operational decisions against source evidence and your own judgment.
12. Security and cyber-lab responsibility
OXSIG is intended for learning and authorized technical practice. A lab scenario, command, technique or explanation does not grant permission to apply that technique to a third-party system. Authorization must come from the system owner or another lawful source.
13. Availability and changes
Because the services are in development, Clinode may change interfaces, APIs, features, providers, limits or availability. Clinode may also suspend a feature for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons.
14. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the services are provided on an "as available" and development basis without guarantees that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
15. Limitation of responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Clinode and its operator are not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from reliance on an experimental feature, third-party service, unauthorized use or failure to maintain your own backups. This section does not limit responsibility where the law does not permit limitation.
16. Governing law
To the extent permitted by mandatory law, these terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Mandatory consumer, privacy or other legal protections that apply to you are not displaced by this clause.
17. Changes to these terms
Clinode may update these terms as the products mature. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date on this page. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
